Big Dates at R/C Madness   Click here to see list of Major Events Scheduled at R/C Madness

Free Practice   All tracks are open for free practice, except during races. During races, we close tracks other than the one being used for the race, to make certain there is no radio interference coming from practice tracks to the race track.

Tracks   Two outdoor tracks and one indoor track.
  • Outdoor Track #1: Brand new, very large asphalt onroad flat track. Perfect for all gas or electric onroad cars.
  • Outdoor Track #2: New England's best dirt/offroad track for RC racing.
  • Indoor Track: New England's best and biggest multi-purpose carpet track. Used for onroad, Stadium Truck (with jumps), and flat track oval.

Madness Trophy Events   R/C Madness sponsors Trophy Events throughout the year. Except at the BBQ blast, trophies are awarded in ALL MAINS, so every racer has a realistic shot at taking home some hardware, regardless of skill level.

Outside Events Hosted by R/C Madness   Occasionally, outside events are hosted by R/C Madness. Examples include:
  • Regional Championships
  • 2000 HPI Challenge
  • 2001 Hartford Car Show Exhibition (held in downtown Hartford, CT)
  • 2002 January Jam - USTC Event
  • 2005 ROAR Off-Road Nationals
  • 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 Radio Control Car Action Monster Madness

Signups, Fees, and Prizes   Signups close 1 hour before racing starts. Even though we make exceptions, we ask that you make every effort to comply with this guideline.

All races include 3 qualification rounds plus a "main" final round for all drivers. Starting position in the final round is based on each driver's best qualification run. Note: the number of qualification rounds can be reduced if time constraints arise, either due to weather or a large number of drivers.

Qualification races run 4-8 minutes, depending on the class. Please check the "available classes" pages for details (links in the "Regular Races" section of this page).

Main-round races run 4-60 minutes, depending on the class and the event. Please check the "available classes" pages for details (links in the "Regular Races" section of this page).

Madness Regular races are $15. 8 week Point Series.

Madness Trophy Events are $25. Trophies are awarded to top 3 finishers in all mains (except in the Annual BBQ Blast, where trophies go to 1st Place A-Main finishers only).

Outside events hosted by R/C Madness have fees, prizes, etc. that are established separately for each event. Details available from the Hobby Shop or on this website.
