Since his introduction to R/C Racing in 1985, Todd's participation has evolved from competing as a driver, to running Team Trinity's motor, battery and team departments, to now owning a motor company. During this time, the technical complexity and variability of motors has continued to increase. For most enthusiasts, these aspects and variables are intimidating, frustrating and confusing.

At Putnam Propulsion, their focus is working one on one with each customer to address these variables. Their motors are custom built, one at a time, for each customer's specific application. Generic, mass-produced motors just do not work for every driver's application. The top factory drivers aren't expected to compete with such motors, nor should you. Each of their motors is fully blueprinted, extracting every ounce of performance from each component of the motor.

Their goal is different from other motor companies: they strive to produce the highest quality, not quantity. While other companies continue to develop ways to produce motors faster, they continue to develop ways to produce faster motors.

"Excessive Force" Blueprinted Stock Motors - Every motor is Fully Blueprinted. Blueprinting Includes: Magnetic Saturation of the can, ("zapping" the magnets), gaussing the magnets, rebalancing the armature, diamond-truing the comm, aligning the brush hoods, soldering on the brushes, fully breaking in the brushes and bushings. The motor is then dyno-tuned, and the dyno results are included. This is the most extensive process that can be performed on a motor, leaving nothing for you to do except install it in your vehicle.

Handwound Modified Motors and Armatures - With all the variables that today's racers face, (such as all the different types of cells available, track layouts, skill level, etc;) each modified motor is built for the specific application of the racer. Putnam Pro-Pulsion does not believe in offering generic-winds in hopes that they fit their customer's needs. Call us to discuss the details of your intended application so that we may have a motor custom wound for your specific needs. In addition to their Blueprinting process, all modified motors contain epoxy-balanced armatures and gauss-matched magnets.

Putnam Pro-Pulsion offers a complete line of Excessive Force brushes for all types of racing. Their custom formulated brushes have developed a reputation for race winning performance in everything from carpet oval, to touring cars, to off road. The unique colored shunts signify the silver content of each brush - high silver Green Shunt for the absolute maximum power; medium silver Blue Shunt for a balance of power and efficiency; and the low silver Red Shunt for more efficiency.
