Check out the awesome Nitro MT in a Ready-To-Run (RTR) version, prebuilt and complete with radio gear installed! The RTR Nitro RS4 MT is part #556 and is now available at your favorite hobby retailer. Look for the awesome huge kit box! The RTR Nitro RS4 MT features ALL of the features of the regular Nitro MT, except that all you have to do is paint and cut out the body, glue the tires, put in AA batteries and fuel, and you're ready to go! Almost NO ASSEMBLY is required, and you can be off and running with your truck in less than an hour! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This full-time shaft-driven 4WD truck can handle the most extreme terrain you can imagine! Rocks, dirt, pebbles, twigs, and grass have no effect on the Nitro MT's effectiveness in carving up the worst vacant lot or field! Just fly over them with the all-terrain tires powered by the strong Nitro Star engine included with the kit! The heart of the Nitro RS4 MT is the 2mm thick purple anodized aluminum countersunk chassis. A strong Nitro Star 15FE engine powers the Nitro MT, providing great acceleration and fast top speeds! The Nitro Star 15FE is one of the easiest-to-tune engines ever, with just one carb adjustment and many improvements made in the past several months for more power and strength! The Nitro MT is our first shaft-drive vehicle, and we've taken many standard features of other off-road shaft-drive kits and tweaked them with "the HPI touch". The Nitro Star 15FE drives the Nitro MT's spur gear, which transfers power to two dogbones, one to the front and another to the rear. (see the rendering below) The dogbones connect to the gearboxes at each end of the Nitro MT, which contain strong metal bevel gears attached to gear differentials. The differentials give the truck awesome cornering capabilities and great handling! The diffs drive dogbones and axles at each corner of the Nitro MT, and Pro-Line Dirt Hawg tires get the power to the ground with huge rubber lugs that attack all sorts of terrain for awesome traction and grip! A tough plastic upper deck forms the backbone of the Nitro RS4 MT, and provides the support for an awesome feature first seen on our Super Nitro RS4: the swing-out radio tray! After a long day of running your Nitro MT, you don't want to clear out gunk and dirt and have to watch out for the electronics, so just pop off two body clips, disconnect the servo arms and swing out the plastic radio tray! All of the electronics are attached - both servos, receiver battery pack, switch, receiver and antenna! Once the radio tray is taken off, use our #9062 Nitro Car Cleaner to spray off any grime, oil and dirt. It just can't be any easier! The Nitro RS4 MT uses the proven suspension from the electric RS4 MT. The same extremely tough suspension arms and composite coil-over long travel shock absorbers give the Nitro MT traction on all types of terrain, from the bumpiest field to neighborhood driveways and curbs. Super tough nylon shock towers resist breaking from the worst wrecks and have alternate shock positions for fine-tuning the handling, and also for on-road racing. One of many all-new parts is the awesome new plastic tuned pipe, included with every Nitro MT. This new tuned pipe has almost the same performance our regular aluminum tuned pipe, plus it costs much less so YOU don't have to pay more to have great performance! Using a new plastic welding technology and a dual chamber design, our new tuned pipe is better than any other plastic tuned pipe currently available. It won't bend in crashes and features the "HPI Oval" logo, as well as a cool inline pressure fitting for a sleek, clean look. The Nitro MT comes with a variety of popular truck bodies, featuring a sleek design with molded number plates and roll bars, plus a huge rear spoiler for added traction! A huge sheet of flexible vinyl decals is included, which has window lines, headlights, tail lights, and lots of Nitro MT logos! The body also includes a protective overspray film and window masks for easy painting! You want to know about parts compatibility - well, even though the Nitro RS4 MT's shaft drive system is brand new and the bevel gear diffs are a new design, many standard and option parts that are available for the electric RS4 MT will fit - shock absorbers, dogbones, tires, wheels, axles, gear diff internals and many more. Option parts aren't a problem, either! The RS4 MT Super Shocks will fit right on the Nitro MT. We've also released hardened steel bevel gears, a thicker purple Super Chassis, universal dogbones for the center drive, and the awesome 2 speed (for on-road use only, of course)! Great radio! The HPI TX-2 radio system included with HPI RTR kits is packed with features! The super narrowband AM transmitter and receiver work together to let you precisely control your car. Six different crystal choices let you race with your friends! The radio transmitter is comfortable to hold and features a battery strength indicater, letting you know when the batteries need to be replaced or charged. The transmitter also features a retractable antenna, steering and throttle trim dials (for fine adjustments to center the servos), plus a dual rate adjustment for the steering! Dual rate is very important because it lets you adjust how far the steering servo turns the front wheels left and right. Two strong servos are also installed in each HPI RTR Nitro kit, already plugged into the standard size super narrowband AM receiver. A convenient on/off switch is also included! Four AA batteries are needed to fit in the car battery holder, with 8 AA batteries needed for the transmitter.
